I woke up to the sound of my alarm going off early Thursday morning. My whole wardrobe was on my bedroom floor, and I hadn't even started packing yet. The boat would leave the harbor, located on the other side of the island, an hour later, and all I could think of was how much I was craving a cup of coffee.
We made it to our weekend destinations though; the islands of picturesque landscapes - Nusa Islands!
We started at Nusa Penida, sightseeing on our scooters for two days! We did Atuh Beach, Diamond Beach, the Tree House, Thousand Islands, Kelingking Beach and Crystal Bay. (A whole lot in other words, in a time period of two days)
Ough, the roads though - can’t go unmentioned. You have to stay focused while driving here, and wearing a helmet is a must! The conditions of these roads are not to play with.
During day two, we moved over to Nusa Lembongan and (the-connected-by-bridge) Nusa Ceningan, where we managed to snap some shots before sunset. It’s crazy how much the landscapes can change, just by hopping from one island to another!
We hopped on another boat to go on a lil snorkeling trip during our last day. Jesse had brought his gopro so the whole thing turned into a me-and-Linda-freestyling-in-front-of-the-camera type of snorkeling trip!
In Ceningan and Lembongan, we went to see the Yellow Bridge, Blue Lagoon and different coral reefs. We went to Manta Bay as well, but weren't lucky enough to spot any mantas that day.
